Analysis of Personality Traits and Demographics on Investors Decision

This research was conducted to find the correlation between demographics and personality traits on investors‚Äö?Ñ?¥ decision. This research used 97 sample units to achieve the objectives. the sample of this research is persons who have experienced in doing investment in one type of this investment in Indonesia Stock exchanges (equities, bonds, mutual funds, and sharia). There were 150 questionnaires distributed to investors as respondents, but only 101 questionnaires back properly and completed. the other questionnaires were discarded because of not completed or blank. the data from respondents were processed with SPSS 21. the result of this research, there was positive correlation between demographics on investors‚Äö?Ñ?¥ decision especially for investors‚Äö?Ñ?¥ experiences. the other result showed there was negative correlation between Neuroticism (one of personality traits indicator) on investors‚Äö?Ñ?¥ decision. Every decision from investors is influenced by experiences and personality. Nevertheless investors cannot depend on both of them.
