Correlation Analysis of Working Capital Management towards Profitability in the Consumer Goods Industry for the Year 2001-2013
Working capital is important for everyday operation. the operation of the company to run smoothly can be harmed due to lack of working capital. an optimum level of working capital would create positive value for the firm. the objective of this thesis is to find the correlation of cash conversion cycle, average number of days account receivables (A/R), average number of days inventory, average number of days of account payable (A/P) towards profitability using two ratios, which are return on assets (ROA) and fixed financial assets ratio in the consumer goods industry from 2009 to 2013 in Indonesia. the results show there are correlations between the components of working capital towards return on assets (ROA) and fixed financial assets ratio. the factors that influence the results of the component of working capital towards profitability are discussed in this thesis.
