The changing of government system from centralization into decentralization give the local government an authority to managed their own areas responsibly. the transfer of power from central to regional government is intended to create a good governance, that characterized by the improvement of local independence. This study objective was to determine how the local tax and local retribution influence the local financial independence of Bogor Regency government administration. the research methodology used in this study is a causal-explanatory method, while the data were processed with multiple regression method. the results showed that the local financial independence influenced by 93.90% by the local tax and local retribution, while the remaining 6.10% is the influence coming from other factors.
