This research is aimed to analyze the relationship between budget variance to the successfulness of the project. Moreover, to see the most significant impact among overhead, indirect material, direct labor, others, and direct material to the budget variance. the research is conducted using correlation and regression analysis in PT XYZ on the construction industry for the period of 2009-2013. in addition, this research also found out which projects that are successfully done in PT XYZ. the result of the research indicates that the budget variance is negatively affect the successfulness of the project: direct material is the most significant indicator to budget variance; and more than 50% of the project in PT XYZ is success.
