The media itself has the power to influence the perception of the society by representing a particular group in a certain manner, however the media also acts the reflection of the current situation of the society. Female victim in Indonesian media has been represented in a bias manner. Female victims are represented as the weaker sex, sexual objects and as the one who invites of the crime. It is in the responsibility of the media to report truth to the public and to protect the privacy of any sexual victim by not disclosing any personal information of the victim. This research uses content analysis to analyse the representation of female victim of sexual violence in Pos Kota online news portal in order to evaluate the practice of journalism in Pos Kota. the results of this research has shown that Pos Kota online news portal do represent female victim of sexual violence crime as the weaker sex and as the one who invites the crime. in few rare cases, the journalist violates the right of privacy of the victim. This content analysis serves as the foundation for further and in-depth researches in the field of media and communication.
