Facebook Fanpage as a Social Media Marketing tool for online Stores
The sheer number of Internet users in Indonesia affects the growth of online businesses, which resulting in the creation of new Internet shopping services or online stores. However, the high numbers of online stores is also increase competition that pushed the online store-owners to find an effective ways to attract customers. one of the trends found is by using Facebook Fanpage as their social media marketing tools. By focusing on the uses of Facebook Fanpage, this research aims to analyse why online stores are using of Facebook Fanpage as their social media-marketing tool, and find out the benefit of Facebook Fanpage for online stores. This study is using in-depth interviews with six onine stores based in Jakarta. the study found that online stores choose Facebook Fanpage as social media-marketing tool because Facebook fanpage makes the online stores more official, it enabled stores to have unlimited followers or fans and there is an application to see the number of viewers of their page activities. the benefit of using Facebook fanpage is associated with increasing credibility, customers, and sales of online stores.
