Analysis of How C2c E-Commerce Marketplace Communicates the Issue of Trust
Consumer-to-consumer electronic commerce online shopping is currently trending in Indonesia. as C2C e-commerce is a type business conducted online, which is prone to fraud and scams. Trust becomes an important key to for e-commerce marketplace to get loyal customers. the purpose of the research is to analyse the strategies implemented by C2C e-commerce marketplace in Indonesia and how users perceive the strategies. By conducting a Qualitative Textual Analysis on the websites and Focus Group Discussion with users of C2C e-commerce, the study reveals the strategies analysed that are communicated as rules, tools and message on the website. towards the strategies, users perceive positively the strategies implemented. However, the users think that there is still improvement to make in term of the database security. in is hoped that the study will help the marketplace in improving the strategy in order to build trust with its users.
