Simulation of integrated rotary parking system using V-Rep
The increase of motor vehicles in Indonesia, especially Jakarta, has led to the increase of parking space demand. A space-efficient solution which may solve this problem is the use of automated parking systems, more specifically that which uses the rotary system. Despite its space-efficiency, the system still lacks automation implications. Therefore, the objective of this project is to extract said setbacks to the system which. Improvements to be made in this thesis consist of a closest vacant platform search, shortest route algorithm and security features of the system. This project will extract those aspects from the system with the use of a simulation software V-REP. Through the simulation, the setbacks which the previous project still has were all able to be expelled. Therefore, with these improvements, the existing system can now be more suitable for commercial use.
