Preparing an existing testing station of SGU's flexible manufacturing system for further research development
This thesis project is intended to recover an existing testing station of FestornDidactic Modular Production System FMS series 102 so it can be usedrneffectively for education purposes. The thesis scope is to recover the testingrnstation and established the connection to distribution station. To recover thernsystem, the author used FST 3.22. The communication with distributionrnstation will act as the surrogate to the whole system. PROFIBUS will be usedrnas the communication protocol in this system. The PROFIBUS module is CP-rn60 that applicable with IPC HC16. The result of this thesis project is therntesting station effectively functions in push-auto mode with communication torndistribution station.
