Financing concept for Indonesian financial institutions to adopt equator principles

The purpose of this thesis paper is to study and analyze the way how could financial institution (fi) adopts equator principles to finance project, study the perception of bankers regarding green financial institutions, especially in indonesia within equator principles framework. Focus group discussion to indonesian environmental expert used to seek indonesian green dna and as the stepping stone for the questionnaire process. The variables of questionnaire are measured by likert scale and spss 17 is used to do reliability and validity test. Amos 16 is used to find out how strong are these variables to drive green financial institutions, at the end to adopt equator principles. The result indicates there are positive response that indonesian fi, would become green fi, will adopt equator principles and drive traditional fi becomes green fi in indonesian green fi concept. To manage project finance to protect environment in indonesia from fi point of view, environmental and social policy need to be established since local indonesian fis, concerned about their client project?s Amdal and should included in client proposal in order to apply project finance.
