Correlation of ICI, Platts Nex, and Globalcoal Indices in determining coal benchmark price to PTAI's ecocoal pricing determination

The main objective of this research is to test the correlation between major components (ici, nex, platts, and globalcoal) of the indonesian price benchmark ?çô hba- as well as its percentage in determining ptai?çös ecocoal price which were assigned as benchmark for the sub-bituminous coal under the hba. This research used both primary and secondary data which were analyzed using microsoft excel 2007?çös multiple regression analysis feature for 54 samples out of 106- 287 population indices. Primary data were collected from interview with relevant people as well data collection from each related organization while secondary data were taken from external sources, journal, etc. The research came into conclusion that regardless of it is statistically proven there is a correlation between 4 indices in determining the hba, there are only 2 indices which directly correlated in determining the hba; therefore using those two indices with appropriate weighted percentage may end with higher hba index than using equal percentage for all indices.
