Quality improvement analysis using lean manufacturing process to achieve customer satisfaction: a case study at copper drawing wire business unit of PT. TMS
This research is to study a better understanding on the gap between the actual performance quality of inventory, quality of process, and quality of product at Copper Drawing Business Unit of PT Tembaga Mulia Semanan Tbk. The ideal performance based on lean manufacturing is a key determinant for the effective improvements to achieve customers' satisfaction. Nowadays, the increasing competition in the copper drawn wire manufacturing in domestic is tougher. It is important to analyze customers' satisfaction on the quality level of products, inventory and the process. From this research, the company can beat the competition in existing market space. Data and information based on actual record performance such as check sheet, questionnaire and interview to the person in charge. Through the case of study, three factors need to improve quality performance are inventory material, production process, and product output. Material stock should be set at minimum by eliminating 7-waste and kaizen in production process to improve quality also to overcome customer complaint.
