Analysis of the safety culture, a case study in PT Elnusa tbk.

The objective of this research is to observe, assess and understand how each and every safety culture elements work together in shaping overall safety culture in pt elnusa tbk. The research on these elements is to define whether the current overall safety approach model is sufficient to build a strong safety culture, or it needs improvement and modification, and which part specifically needs to be improved. The primary data was obtained through questionnaires distributed to 893 respondents, and analysed using computer aid statistic tool. Finding of this research is that safety culture has strong correlation with safety performance. The analysis also found that all four elements of safety culture are showing positive significant correlation. The most significant impact to safety culture is safety management systems. Although all elements of safety culture found to have impact on safety culture of pt elnusa tbk, management commitment to safety provides less impact compare to others.
