New corporate culture stimulates employee satisfaction contributing to improved corporate performance and sustainability of company (study case acquisition of PT ABC by PT XYZ)

Ursula, Margareta Novi - Personal Name; Jaeger, Hans - Personal Name;

This thesis will study about how the new culture, after M&A, gives contribution to the employees' satisfaction, which stimulates company performance and sustainability. It is a case study of acquisition at paper packaging company in Indonesia. The combination of exploratory, descriptive and casual research was applied in this research methodology. Pluralistic research in investigating the problem was also applied, which it is common to begin with exploratory qualitative techniques. rnGender, age and working period do not influence, only education level influences the acceptance of the new culture. Individual performance, leadership and communication are the top three influential factors to the new culture. The interesting point was the management didn't bring the head quarter's culture to the new company. They let the host culture run in the beginning, after several months they started to introduce the new culture. Management creates a good leadership and communication to and between the employees. It increases the company performance and makes a sustainability growth. Emphasize the training, empowering the employees, two ways communication and coaching leadership are the recommendations to the company. Increase the human capital asset is the key to increase the company value. Culture is an important factor to the company sustainability.
