Green energy solution selection process for electricity deprived region in Indonesia's North Maluku Province
North maluku province is an electricity deprived region of indonesia. This research takes a look at available green energy technologies to generate clean electricity for north maluku. Methodology of research includes focus group discussion with indonesian environmental experts to generate research questions, spread questionnaires amongst north maluku respondents and elicit energy expert?s Opinions on available green energy technology by utilizing analytical network process as a multi criteria decision making tool. The result showed that geothermal energy will be the best solution for north maluku. Although other energy such as wind, solar and hydro would benefit the many islands that north maluku province geographical conditions has, which cannot be covered by electricity grid. Lastly, this research will provide strategic business planning integrating porter?s Five forces and boyd?s Observe, orient decide and act as a tool for either domestic or foreign investor, as well as major stakeholders such as north maluku people and local governments, to assess north maluku province green energy business feasibility.
