Trend of potential threats due to over exposure in social media continues to increase in line with users growth. Popularity of social media are driven by several important factors: online lifestyle changes, competitive internet services rate and availability ofnGadgets at affordable price. Greater benefit will facing numbers of consequences. Internet addiction, missing real social interaction, invasion to privacy and security risks including data theft and victimized by cyber criminals. Security protection guidance and risk explanation are listed within the term of service (tos). But most of security protection are an optional features that are neednTo be activated manually. So, it is not encouraging enough to the user to implement highest security protection features since it is not mandatory by default. Or simply just because user are not read the tos carefully. The problem to be examined in this study involves: ?how A better understanding to the tos will affects to users security protection preferences in preventing credentialsnLeaks, identity theft, account misuse and privacy and information secrecy exposure on social network services today. To find out tos compliance to the indonesian cyber law and to achieve more appropriate solutions?
