Analyze the impact of capital adequate ratio (car), financing to deposit ratio (fdr) and non-performing loan (npl) towards the profitability (roa) of indonesian syariah banks compared to indonesian conventional banks

The aim of this research is to analyze the significant impact of Capital Adequate Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL) and Financing to Deposit Ratio towards the Profitability (ROA) of Indonesian syaria bank compared to Indonesian conventional bank. The technique used to define the sample in this research is non-random sampling as the method. The sample used are the entire syariah and conventional banks populations from year 2012 - 2014 that published in Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK) as of 31st December 2014. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple regression and hypothesis test use t- statistic to test coefficient of regression partially. Moreover the result of this research is that in Indonesian syariah bank variables of CAR, NPL and FDR have significant impact on their Profitability (ROA). Meanwhile for Indonesian conventional banks, NPL is the only variable that has a significant impact on Profitability (ROA). The amount of influence or impact variable of CAR, FDR, and NPL to the dependent variable of ROA in Indonesian syariah bank is 32.8% while the remaining 68.2% is influenced by other variables not examined in this study. Furthermore, the influence or impact variable of CAR, FDR, and NPL to the dependent variable of ROA for Indonesian conventional bank is only 2.1% while the remaining 97.9% is influenced by other variables.
