Strategy changes in airlines industry and its impact on employee motivation
The focus of this study is to find the factors affecting job satisfaction in lufthansa german airlines. Variables to be identify will be classified into two categories; prior the changes and after the changes. It concerns the underlying factors of motivation within jakarta office and measured by analyzing the correlation between strategic changes and expectation employees in indonesia. The theory of needs and motivation are used to see relation impact of changes. Qualitative and quantitative approaches are conducted to analyze this which shows that benefits scheme; such as compensation, benefit and salary, has a significant impact to job satisfaction of employees in lufthansa german airlines. The gap between the expectation and reality is high and the impact of this gap is lower the satisfaction of employees, hence, de-motivated employees to continue working and force them to seek better opportunity elsewhere. Some area need to be focus based on this research is in connection to salary or benefit packages received by the employees. Majority of the respondents feel that benefit received are far from their expectation.
