The Challenges In Subsidized Housing To Support Government Programs: A Case Study In Ministry Of Housing Indonesia

In conducting subsidized housing assistance delivery program to the lower income segment by The Ministry of Housing Indonesia faces many obstacles and challenges including the gap between target and realization of subsidized housing. The purpose of this thesis is to analyze the gap between target and realization and to overcome the challenges in conducting subsidized housing assistance delivery program to lower income segment at The Ministry of Housing Indonesia. This study uses exploratory research in order to analyze the program. The result of the study indicates that in order to overcome the gap between target and realization of subsidized housing in The Ministry of Housing Indonesia should: (a) to provide more and easier access to credit financing market, (b) reduce bureaucratic obstacles within government institutions, and (c) to improve coordination and positive intervention among government institution.
