Business Process Restructuring (BPR) Model Applied to PT. Bussan Auto Finance

The Business Re-engineering Process concept known as BPR was build and developed since last 40 years and it has been applied in much kind of business and industry especially in USA and Europe. From its basic concept adopted from Taylor's Scientific Management, it has been developed and has their own dialectic metamorphosis during it time lines. nnNowadays, as BPR has been well known concept in many countries, and it has been proven to help many company to survive and lead their internal change in terms to gain profit. The author wants to exploring and simulating the application o BPR in local company to help them solve their problems. Specifically, BPR is constructed from 3 main components:n1. Understanding Customern2. Effectivelyn3. Efficiency nnIn this thesis, the problem set become from company called Bussan Auto Finance (BAF), which is the official leasing company for Yamaha Motorcycle Indonesia. BAF and Yamaha have an exclusively and mutual relation in Indonesia. As the booming of motorcycle market since the end of 90's until today, leasing company have significant role of fast increasing motorcycle sales. nnHowever, very fast increasing always has its own risk. Every growth always meets their equilibrium point to adaptation with their situation. The booming of motorcycle sales may bring the large number of customer who cannot pay their debt. It will bring more loads to debt colleting division. Since Yamaha is the number 2 largest selling motorcycle in Indonesia (after Honda) and BAF have about 26% share of total Yamaha sales, this case become significantly because we can see the demonstrating of BPR applied to help this business solve their problems and gain for more benefits.
