Material requirements planning using lot sizing technique on raw materials shoes of SNIKER" brand produced By PT.XYZ"
PT. XYZ is a company engaged in home industry and service provider. PT. XYZ manufactures various kinds of shoes which one of them is SNIKER shoes. in industrial companies, raw material is the most important part in supporting the continuity of production process. Therefore MRP system is needed in the selection of planning raw materials because it is the main capital to improve productivity. These research objectives are to determine the best forecasting to predict the demand future and to perform the inventory control method based on Material Requirement Planning. the method begins with forecasting the demand production for the future. Forecasting is done by using the Linear Trend, Moving Average (N = 6), and Exponential Smoothing (?├¡┬¼┬▒ = 0.3). Then determine the smallest value of SEE, MAD, and MAPE method. After fulfilled by the required data, then do a comparison of MRP using the Lot-For-Lot (LFL), Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) and Period Order Quantity (POQ) methods. From the results of these methods, chose the most minimum inventory cost. Lot Sizing Techniques Lot-For-Lot (LFL) and Period Order Quantity (POQ) resulted in the lowest total cost of inventory is Rp. 5,517,750, -
