The purpose of this thesis work is to study the characteristic of electromotor especially wound-rotor induction motor. And to study what kind of torque characteristic is required by positive displacement pump. The work is done by running the motor under certain load and measure the voltage and current required by the electromotor.rnIt found out that torque of electromotor depends on % slip inside the motor. The more the slip, the higher the torque produced.
