Server inventory system

Erwin, Alva - Personal Name; Iqbal - Personal Name;

Swiss German University (SGU) currently using several number of client workstations which are separated in several rooms, such as IT Laboratory I, IT Laboratory II, IT Laboratory III, Leybold Laboratory, Library etc. These workstations are connected to SGU's network. In fact that growth number of SGU students is become higher every year, there is a possibility that the number of the computers will also increase. The increasing number of the computers will make administrator effort for maintaining all of the workstations will be also increase. First approach for solving this solution is by recruiting new individual. This approach could be good, but recruiting new personal means you have to train that personal, if he's not an expert, if he's an expert, then SGU will cost something on his salary in fact that expert people valued higher than ordinary people. The second approach is by buying licensed software, no need to train people when using software, instead of the first approach, but licensed software are usually expensive, except those who are open source, but most of them are having a not-friendly graphical user interface (GUI). Between these 2 options, human approach and licensed software approach, there is a solution that is using a client server program so called Computer Inventory System (CiS), s system that gathers system information from client computers and stored the information into a database on server.
