Liquid flow sensor
A liquid flow sensor is meant to sense the change of the flow rate which flowing through the device. The device itself contains four main parts:rn 1. Tulus kit Infrared module, for transmitting infrared signals.rn 2. Scienceware® Roto-Flo Indicator, as the primary sensing element.rn 3. Schmitt trigger and Low Pass Filter as the signal conditioner.rn 4 Atmel AT90S2313 Microcontroller with LCD display.rnThe flow rate will be sensed via rotating rotor which is beamed through with the infrared signal. The reception of the infrared signal will be cut off whenever the blade blocks the infrared signal from the transmitter. rnThe signal produced from the receiver will be in form of digital signal (on-off signals), and inputted to the microcontroller. The microcontroller counts the frequency and outputs the result into LCD Display.rnThe LCD output shows the result in terms of flow rate (L/s).
