Analysis, design and implementation of the Correspondence Management Information System (COMET) as part of customer relationship management: a case study at Swiss German University
Swiss German University needs a tool in order to generate reference numbers for outgoing letters. Currently the process uses manual search through a database book for reference number.rn The purpose of the study is to provide the university with an automated reference number generator. The research consists of analysis of the previous business process, and the design and implementation of the new system. Besides a reference number generator, this study aims to improve the process of letter handling. The new system is expected to reduce processing time, human resources, and cost.rn This research uses PHP as the scripting language, and MySQL as the database-management system.
