Analysis, design and implementation of an online documentation system - case study: icarus-integrated curriculum information system
This research involves analysis, designing and implementing a documentation system. The problem to be examined is the ICARUS system in Swiss German University, which manage information about curriculums, syllabus, lecturers and materials. The current situation is that the system has no documentation both online and hardcopy. As a result of no documentation available, it will be difficult for new user to operate the system. Furthermore, these situations also happen to developers and systems, they will have obstacles to develop and maintain the system. rnrnThe purposes of this research study are to produce a documentation that will help the new user to operate the system, developer to develop the program such as ERD and business processes, system administrator to secure and maintain the system and to make the modules, functions and tables reusable.rnrnThis research uses Microsoft Access for making the online documentation and SQL as database management system.
