Designing and constructing feeding mechanism for table tennis stamping machine using electropneumatics
Handling mechanism which consists of many processes such as feeding, loading, and orientation, is an exciting and challenging problem in the field of automation. The problem of constrain in the assembly line particularly is well known and daily faced by real industry. The primary purpose of this thesis is to develop a feeding mechanism that can deal with the constrain in the most effective, efficient, reliable, and flexible way. A secondary purpose is to interface the controller of the feeding mechanism with the other controller from the stamping station. Through a study of this case, this thesis has given an insigHTM into the problems of designing an automated and integrated process such as which working medium would be best used, which mechanism is the most appropriate one, and all the necessary considerations that should be taken. The theoretical perspective for the proposed study is most commonly referred to pneumatics and automation theories that are very common in the real industrial world. Two pneumatics linear actuators are used in this thesis that is controlled by PLC and communicated with other controller by shared I/O method.
