Designing and constructing a 7 x 100 led array board display with wireless programming
Nowadays the conventional information media such as banner, billboard, or signboard are not sufficient to catch the attention of people anymore. In this technological age, the world needs more and more creative and interactive tools for information media. The LED Board Display was an electronic display that could fulfill those requirements. It had the capability to show letter, sentence and even symbols in various interesting animation. The purpose of this thesis is to design and construct a LED Board Display controlled by a AT8051 microcontroller with a wireless module using a GSM cell phone. The implementation of the wireless module into the LED Display will make it able to be programmed from a far distance. The LED Board Display can be used in a very wide range of application from showing run text at the stock exchange up to showing current traffic report at the highway. The theoretical perspective for the proposed study is most commonly referred to as a microcontroller that is applicable to mechatronic system design. The program for the microcontroller was written in assembly language.
