Adopting Cobit framework to evaluate functional requirement analysis in Walnuss (marketing module of university resource planning) and Icarus (curriculum management) application systems
For many organizations, information and the technology that supports it represent the organization's most valuable assets. Moreover, management has heigHTMened expectations regarding IT delivery functions: management requires increased quality, functionality and ease of use; decreased delivery time; and continuously improving service levels.rnrnAs the International University, SGU has realized what the benefit from implementing IT is. For this reason, SGU develop Walnuss and Icarus application systems for supporting their educational objectives. rnrnThis thesis focuses on the evaluation of Icarus and Walnuss application systems by using COBIT framework as the standard. These existing application systems need to be managed properly to ensure that they are working optimally as expected and maybe more. So that SGU can get full advantage from their IT investments.
