The Correlation between standard competency and job satisfaction: a study case of housekeeping attendant in Hotel Grand Preanger Bandung
The Grand Preanger Hotel which is located in Bandung was established in 1825. In 1988, The Grand Preanger Hotel used standard competency as a base of their service and assessment. In this thesis, it will find out the correlation between job competency and job satisfaction in The Grand Preanger Hotel as a research object. Job satisfaction depends on several aspects. One of the aspects is the job competency of the employees. In this research, there is a positive relation between job competency and job satisfaction. rnrnThe purposes of this thesis are to study any correlations between standard competency and job satisfaction, to find how strong the correlation is and to implement the knowledge from university to the reality of working life. rnrnThe research method used is correlation research to see the relationship between job competency and job satisfaction and to determine how strong the relationship is. Primary data is gathered by interviews with and questionnaires to employees. Secondary data is gathered from Job Competencies specific to housekeeping departments. rnrnThe conclusion determines that standard competency is one of the elements that increased employee satisfaction.
