Constructing and designing a levitation system
The purpose of this thesis is designing and constructing a single axis magnetic suspension system that can keep steel objects to suspend in the air which counteract the gravitational force. Analytical, theoretical and experimental to find thernrelationship between the current, air gaps, and magnetic force are the methodology to reach the goal of constructing and designing the levitation system. Designing arncontroller to control electromagnetic force will be the main function to keep the steelrnobject suspends in the air at a certain distance. Electromagnet as the actuator, position sensor and controller will be used to make a levitation system.
