An automatic vehicle identification system is a vehicles identification process at tollbooth without stopping at entry gate and exit gate. Using RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology, entry gate information is stored in vehicle when it passes the entry booth. If an entry gate information available in the vehicle, the RFID module will transmit its identity and entry gate information using radio frequency. While a vehicle is passing through an exit gate with some limited speed, the vehicle information is read by RFID reader module which located on the exit gate. The received information are used to generate the cost and then charged to the registered account. This system allows every vehicle passing toll road without stopping for the physical payment, which can reduce congestion at the toll gate.
