Implementation of the clnp (connectionless network protocol) packet in the routing process for the source routing function and congestion notification function in atn (aeronautical telecommunication network)
Since the air traffic is increasing rapidly due to the efficiency of air transportation, Indonesia has to manage its air space effectively to ensure flight safety in Indonesian airspace. This can be achieved with Communication Navigation Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) mandated by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).rnrnAeronautical Telecommunications Network (ATN) is capable transmitting communication data from aircraft to ground. It is endorsed by ICAO to manage this growing airspace traffic as current voice communication augmentation. The ICAO specified the ISO 8473 Connectionless Network Protocol (CLNP) as an ATN standard to interconnect air to ground and terrestrial sub networks.rnrnThe purpose of this thesis is to implement the CLNP protocol function specifically on Source Routing function and Congestion Notification function based on ISO 8473-1. In addition, this thesis also provides literature study on Secondary Surveillance Radar (SSR) Mode S data link capability and process.
