Implementation of the clnp (connectionless network protocol) packet in the input process for the protocol data unit decomposition function and the header format analysis function in atn (aeronautical telecommunication network)
The high mobility of people in the world nowadays has stimulated a significant growth of transportation industry, especially the air transportation because it offers faster and more efficient transport solution. Therefore, standardized and reliable aviation system is required in order to be able to control the traffic of the airspace effectively and efficiently. International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) recommends aeronautical telecommunication network (ATN) implementation as the solution for the aviation communication system. CLNP process consists of input processing, routing, and output processing. This research focuses on two input processing functions. Those functions are PDU decomposition function and header format analysis function. The study of the functions is based on the international standards ISO 8473-1 issued by ISO/IEC and the functions development uses C Kernel programming language. As the initial phase in implementing ATN, the PDU decomposition function and the header format analysis function have been developed successfully and implemented as kernel modules that are loaded manually. This thesis is expected to be beneficial to the future development of Indonesia aviation system.
