Implementation of the connectionless network protocol (clnp) packet output processing for segmentation and packet transmission to device functions in aeronautical telecommunication network (atn)
Air transportation has been a common means of transportation nowadays, including in Indonesia. Safety has become an important concern in the aviation. Therefore, Indonesia has to take measures to ensure that its air traffic is safe.rnrnInternational Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) has mandated that Indonesia implement the Connection, Navigation, and Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM) concept. This is a concept to ensure the safety of the air traffic. The ATN technology is the communication part of CNS/ATM, which will allow the aircrafts, air traffic controllers (ATC), and airports to exchange information using data communication, instead of using voice communication and plain text transmission currently practiced.rnrnThe core of the ATN technology lies on its network layer, the CLNP protocol. CLNP has many functions. This thesis work is focused on the CLNP packet segmentation function and packet transmission to device function. These functions will be implemented in Linux kernel as independent kernel modules.rnrnIn conclusion, the CLNP packet can be successfully segmented and the packet transmission can be performed.
