Designing an intelligent software application to track stock price information using agent based approach
As the business world expands, information gathering and processing has become a mandatory need. Accurate and up-to-date information is needed to help the business people make strategic decisions. The stock exchange business is also one of the types of business that requires this kind of reliable information. rnrnThis demand for information inspires the author to do a research with the purpose of designing and developing an application that can gather and process stocks information, specifically stocks prices. This information is then delivered to the users who can use it to help them determine various business decisions.rnrnThis software application is developed using Java programming language and JADE. JADE is a framework that provides the library and development environment for agent based systems. Moreover, JADE already complies with the FIPA (Foundation of Intelligent Physical Agents) specifications for agent based technologies.rnrnThe result of this thesis is an agent based application that provides stock price tracking service. The application (agent) periodically checks specific stock prices and notifies its clients when the prices change.
