Designing and construction a radio frequency application for controlling and navigating mobile robot
This thesis discusses the application of radio frequency communication as a way to acquire data from devices and to control a device remotely wirelessly. The Bluetooth a technology in radio frequency communication can handle multiple devices in communication thus creating a network of communication devices that may represents a Wireless Sensor Network. Parts being used in this thesis consist of microcontrollers, Bluetooth modules, ultrasonic sensors, servo motors. The system is implemented for localization in robotic application. The system used by a robotic system to determine its position and orientation in a space that has a world coordinate system reference. The data which are acquired from the sensor network is then transmitted to a mobile robot to determine its current position and orientation. Based from the current position, a destination position can be commanded to the mobile robot from the control center.
