Designing and constructing steerable vehicular headlight systems
This thesis is developing the standard vehicles' headlights become a steerable headlights system. The purpose of this thesis is to reduce the chance of accident at night. It would help vehicles' driver to see the road at nighttime driving especially in curves. This thesis is begun with prototyping the vehicle equipped with steerable headlight system. The prototype vehicle is driven by the moving vehicle DC motor to move forward and backward. There are three servo motors used in this thesis, one is used to turning the vehicle while the other two servo motors are used to swiveling the headlights. The leveling headlights DC motor is used to leveling up and down the headlights. The sensor used to detect the steering turning angle is an optocoupler. On the other hand, to detect the tilt of the vehicle is used accelerometer. All the system is controlled by a microcontroller.
