Developing an electronic fuel injection system in four stroke motorcyle engine

Prajogo, Tutuko - Personal Name; Pratama, Andre - Personal Name;

This project is intended to implement basic electrical engineering into a four-stroke motorcycle engine. The particular fuel feeding system, which is carburetor system, is replaced with electronic-controlled fuel injection system, using the sensor mounted on the engine used as the input to control the engine. The mechanical design of the old fuel feeding system uses venture tubes to suck in the fuel while the new design will be completely different. The new design of the fuel feeding system will be the injection system, where the fuel injection and the ignition timing are electronically controlled. This project mostly deals with dyno testing and fine tuning the fuel amounted injected to the combustion chamber; in pursuit of the best air-fuel ratio and the ignition timing which produces most power. Finishing this project gives conclusion that electronic fuel injection system in overall is better than carburetor system.
