Designing and constructing the control system of meppo's agv recharging system
This thesis is projected to design and construct the control system of AGV' s Recharging system. The AGV will be informed by a voltage sensor through PC-104 when the battery's voltage is dropping, which then the AGV will stop at the Recharging station to do charging procedure. At the Recharging station, the procedure of swapping out low charged battery to the charging area and swapping in full charged battery from a temporary storage will be done consecutively. The AGV will be driven by two servo motors, where on the other hand, the Recharging station's conveyors will be each driven by two dc motor. In the AGV, proximity switches are used as a track detector, an infrared is used to detect the position in the recharging station, voltage comparator to detect low battery and a micro switch to detect the presence of battery inside the AGV. Meanwhile, in the Recharging Station, the proximity switches are used to detect presence of battery in each conveyor, infrared is used to detect the presence of AGV, micro switches to detect the position of conveyors and voltage comparator to detect the full charged of battery. Finally, some experiment and testing was done to every essential part needed to be tested. The conclusion is that, the automatic recharging system is needed to be applied in the AGV system.
