Designing, prototyping, and controlling the reference sub-structure for irrigation system in circular plantation area
The thesis is conducted for developing the present center pivot irrigation system to become an automated and controllable irrigation system by implementing all aspects in mechatronics which are mechanical, electrical, sensor, and controller. The thesis is begun by prototyping the structure of the center pivot irrigation. In this thesis, the irrigation system is added with some advance features. The movement of the tower is equipped with PWM feature, so the speed of the tower can be adjusted as the user required. In the development of watering system, by using a ping sensor, minimizing the evaporation, which is the main weakness of the present center pivot irrigation, is another feature. A feature to open and close the valve is also the provided so the user can control which area is wanted to be irrigated. PID controller completed the system by making it a closed loop system.
