Implementation and analysis of infrared sensors using microcontroller on a simple mechanical design walking robot
This project creates a two legged robot, which is able to do several tasks. First, the robot can move forward in a balance situation. Secondly, the robot must be able to avoid obstacles in its environment. It can also turning to the left and to the right. The robot uses two DC motors contained in one unit to power its legs, and implements a specific algorithm to perform the walking movement. To avoid the obstacles, the robot uses an infrared sensor. This sensor gives the information about the range of the obstacles. When the obstacle is detected, the robots must be able to avoid the obstacle.
