Designing, constructing, and analyzing a vacuum equipped conveyor belt system
This thesis is made to design, construct, and analyze a confeyor belt system equipped with vacuum suction underneath the belt. The vacuum suction is meant to improve the gripping capability of the belt in the application of confeying lightweight articles, such as paper sheets. To reduce inefficiency on the vacuum system, the confeyor's bed is divided into several smaller sections. A microcontroller controls the system. The motor speed is possible to be varied in order to analyze the ability of the employed vacuum system to hold the confeyed articles onto the belt's surface.
