Implementation of the CLTP (Connectionless Transport Protocol) packet data unit reception in atn (aeronautical telecommunication network)
The industry of aviation has rapidly increased from year to year. To handle this situation, the air traffic management has to be more effective and efficient. The International Communication Aviation Organization (ICAO) created a new concept for the future aeronautical communication called CNS/ATM (Communication Navigation Surveillance/ Air Traffic Management). ATN, as the integral part of CNS/ATM uses digital data links to supplement voice communications. It controls digital data transmission between aircraft and civil air traffic control facilities. rnrnIndonesia has been urged to implement ATN, because of the ICAO mandate. Unfortunately, it is very expensive to implementing ATN. The Indonesian government, particularly BPPT would like to develop its own ATN router to minimize the country expenses. The project was started by implementing the CLNP as the network protocol, and then continued by implementing CLTP and COTP. The objective of this thesis is to design and implement CLTP PDU reception and check checksum functions based on ISO/IEC 8602.
