The design and implementation of cotp connection management functionality for connection establishment, connection refusal, and normal release functions in atn
The fact that transportation has become more and more advanced has triggered rapid increase in demand for air travel which eventually resulted in such over-crowded air traffic. The urgent need to build a reliable system to support air traffic management in this modern world have resulted in the development of ATN by ICAO as a backbone that will connect aircraft, air traffic control and airline operations facilities. However, ATN is unfortunately still extremely costly for Indonesian government - and we are proudly taking part in an effort to cut down that expense by learning the ATN concept to be implemented later on. ATN implements CLTP and COTP as transport layer protocol. In this thesis, we focus on implementing connection establishment, connection refusal and normal release functions in COTP which are specified in ISO/IEC 8073 document. We analyze thoroughly the ISO documents and develop the code later on, under the Linux kernel version 2.6.21-1.3194.fc7. In conclusion, connection establishment, connection refusal and normal release modules are implemented.
