Busway traffic optimization model
In Indonesia, the need of a modern transportation is extremely high as the problems from transportation system in Indonesia keep rising. The problem is just not the endless traffic problem in the city but also has put an impact on the environment as well. One of the modern mean of transportation is the busway system. As the busway transportation arise in Indonesia, the need for optimization of it is becoming essential. The main objective is to optimize the busway operation. This include to minimize the waiting time of the customer which is the service level, and to minimize the bus cost needed for the deploying bus. The two main objectives are dependable on the inventory model, the queuing theory, and the transportation network model. Using descriptive data analysis approach, the observation data is then transform into a set of mathematical method that could lead to the optimizing the busway transportation and to reach the objective mentions. Based on the result this model, it is proved that this model could lead to the optimization, and the model could also be used in other mean of public transportation in Indonesia.
