Challenge for tourism destination to attract business travel market: focus on incentive travel in Jakarta
Business travel as part of the tourism travel is considered a potential market to generate income for the tourism destinations. Some elements of business travel are meetings, incentive travel, conventions, and exhibitions.There are several factors that qualify a city and or a country as business travel destination such as political stability and safety, business facilities, and tourism elements such as hotels, restaurants and transportation, the host community, and the attractions,.Indonesia, especially Jakarta, has all of these factors. But unfortunately, those factors have not yet been supported enough the country to be a successful business travel destination. The purpose of this thesis is to establish the potential of Jakarta to attract one of the types of business travel which is the Incentive travel to support the development of Jakarta as incentive travel destination.
