The relation of personality to the success of trainees during internship program
Skill, Knowledge and Attitude are three essential principles in hotel industry. Attitude is in the first rank because the hotel's prime sold item is service. Hoteliers believe only attitude will make them successful in their hotel's career. Attitude is part of the personality. The purpose of this thesis is to study the relation of trainees' personality to the result of their work in hotel during the internship program and also to determine which personality's types appropriate to the related departments.The research method used is inductive and explanatory research. Data collecting is using combination of literature research from literatures, website, interviews, and questionnaires. The research was done by using Galenus personality test, assignment model Hungarian method in maximizing score and Chi-Square. The research result is discovered that there are personality types which match each department in the hotels that will help the trainees to perform well during the internship program and the significance between personality and performance.
