Designing, constructing, and controlling of a bottle sorting machine
The concept of this thesis project is to separate various material of bottles. There are three materials that usually made become a bottle, which are glass, plastic and aluminum. General knowledge to create this machine is automation technology so the machine can run automatically although with manual feeding system. Mechanical design and electrical installation are also main parts of this thesis project. The components to sort those materials of bottle are inductive proximity sensor and strain gauge with signal conditioning circuit. The author also uses several of sensors such as infrared transmitter and receiver, photo sensor and mechanical limit switch.
