Designing a building management system by using european installation bus (eib)

Since, energy consumption and cost in a large building is quite big, building management system has been a standard in building automation today. There are several protocols to design a building management system such as EIB, Lonworks and BACnet. Nonetheless, during this thesis, EIB will be used as the protocol. Purpose of this thesis is to activate building management system tools, which are existed SGU laboratory. Furthermore, EIB use ETS as the tools to program, commissioning and design. EIB system works as decentralize system, which each unit has such a microprocessor acts as the logic unit. This logic is located in place called BCU. EIB protocol is a good tool to learn building management system. BMS modules in SGU laboratory have been tested and most of them are in good condition. As a result, all modules prepare to be used by other students who interested in learning building management system.
